Surfway Holiday Retreat is a lovely 3 bedroom holiday house that has split system air conditionerand ceiling fans for guests comforts. The property is located a few streets away from the beautiful Berrara Beach for swimming, surfing, fishing, lazing and relaxing on the beach, enjoying the magical sunsets and sunrises, or reading a book and taking in the ambiance holiday atmosphere that the South Coast can deliver to you.
The property entails of a lounge room and a family room for guests to spread out with ample lounge seating, for that total stress free holiday escape for families and friends to enjoy. The bathroom is a 3 way bathroom with a double vanity and a seperate toilet. Imagine having a BBQ gathering under the covered alfresco outdoor dining area with your favourite drink, laughing, sharing stories and chilling with your friends and family. Plenty of parking for cars and a boat with great side access available.
It's hard to believe that such a tranquil location is so close to civilisation. The Berrara Creek is accessible by boat ramp near the village. Paddle your canoe or kayak upstream about 3km to where you're completely alone. Fishing is popular in either the creek or from the beach, and if you walk to Fishermans Rock picnic area you'll see the grinding grooves made by the local Aboriginal people many years ago. Bring a picnic to eat on the creek bank and take a dip in the afternoon sunshine.
During spring along Berrara Creek, you'll see plenty of flowering natives, including wattles and banksias. The endangered hooded plover is also known to nest near the creeks entrance. You can hire a stand up paddle from Sussex Inlet.
Around Swan Lake you can enjoy the stunning scenery, bushwalks, nature trails and native wildlife. Berrara Beach is within walking distance.Explore Swan Lake by boat, go fishing, take a picnic or treat yourselves to an ice cream at the kiosk afterwards. Boat hire is available locally or there is plenty of parking on site if you bring your own.Enjoy kayaking on the tranquil waters of Swan Lake or from one of the nearby beaches. Kayaks can be hired locally at Cudmirrah or Berrara.South BerraraNature Reserve Beach backs completely onto unspoilt bush land, and is only accessible by paddling across the creek from Berrara at low tide. At the southern end of the beach you will find the Berrara mermaid pools which is a great place to swim.

Directions to property and Key/Access details will be emailed to the guest at 24 hours prior to arrival. During the stay, information can be found on our app or call the office.
If you don't book the linen service, then you will need to bring your own sheets and towels. There are pillows, blankets and quilts with covers on the beds. BYO beach towels.

Standard check in is strictly from 3pm and check out is strictly at 10am. Please contact the office to enquire about an early check in time depending on the time of the year. If we take a back to back booking, which forces a same day turn around we will not be able to honour the earlier time. We can offer you a complimentary 1 hour extension of the check in or check out time as a gesture of goodwill, which would still depend on whether we are able to.
